According to Foot Mercato, Olympique de Marseille have initiated discussions with Norwich over a move for Jonathan Rowe (21) with the club keen on improving its attacking options ahead of the new campaign. 

Rowe had been a target for Leeds United this summer. However, they will now face stiff competition from Marseille who have been highly active in the English market after securing the appointment of their new head coach Roberto De Zerbi. 

This summer Marseille have already signed three players from English clubs having brought in Ismaël Koné (22) from Watford FC, Mason Greenwood (22) from Manchester United, and Pierre-Emile Højbjerg (29) from Tottenham Hotspurs, as well as having links with Arsenal over Eddie Nketiah (25). 

Jonathan Rowe to provide competition for Luis Henrique?

If Rowe were to be brought in, he would likely be the immediate competition on the left of the attack for Luis Henrique (22) who has flattered to deceive since returning in January from his loan at Botafogo.
